WEF Report Summarizes CEM3 Public-Private Roundtables
7 August 2012: The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) has reported on the release of a report from the World Economic Forum (WEF), which summarizes the discussions and outcomes of eight public-private roundtables that were organized in the context of the third Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM3), held in London, UK, from 25-26 April 2012.
The roundtables brought together energy ministers, government officials, business leaders, and experts from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to discuss: large-scale efficiency programmes; electric vehicles; variable renewables integration; renewable energy finance; super-efficient appliances; carbon capture, use and storage; solar photovoltaics; and energy efficiency finance.
For each roundtable, the WEF report describes the main objectives, key discussion themes, and ideas for follow-up. CEM is currently integrating several of these recommendations into its activities.
