Clean Energy Solutions Center Releases Tool for Analyzing Solar Technologies’ Market Potential
20 July 2012: The Clean Energy Solutions Center, an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM), has released the beta version of the "Global Solar Opportunity Tool." The Tool aims to facilitate analysis of market opportunities for solar technologies. It provides information on, and visualizations of, the technical potential, economic opportunity, and market size for a range of solar technologies, including residential rooftop systems and utility-scale installations for countries worldwide.
Currently available only in beta version, future enhancements will include the use of sub-national data, data for concentrating solar power technologies, and the possibility to add user-generated data as a complement to the tool's baseline data. [CEM Press Release] [Global Solar Opportunity Tool]
